About the Firm

The firm was founded in 1929 and has continuously represented the interests of insurance carriers prosecuting and defending a wide variety of claims - both large and small - arising out of casualties such as fires, water damage, theft, transit, cargo, and construction claims.

The firm's lawyers are subject-matter experts in the area of subrogation. Collectively they bring over 140 years of subrogation experience, which includes decades of institutional experience working as in-house attorneys for insurance companies, providing a deep understanding of the client's perspective.

Seasoned lawyers pursue each claim from the onset of the loss through the entire life of the claim, working with clients and specialized experts to advance the recovery process. In addition to claim-specific representation, the firm's attorneys routinely provide general counseling to clients on property and casualty issues relating to subrogation by delivering in-house training to claim professionals and assisting clients in navigating the ever-changing legal landscape impacting subrogation.

The firm has handled a variety of legal issues for insurers outside of the scope of subrogation, such as the defense of first party coverage disputes, personal injury defense, complex agency issues, rescission actions and liability coverage exclusions. The firm's attorneys have routinely pursued and defended appeals to advance client interests in the higher courts.
